what i posted was a chart of January-October global temperature anomalies from 1880, almost 140 years ago, courtesy of NOAA.

you’ve erroneously drawn a line across the high point of anomalies for about 15 years and then declared the trend “quite flat,” which isquite wrong because it isn’t complete.

over those 15 years the trend is contained graphically in an ascending triangle. The trend is clearly higher. You’ve just focussed on the top bits because it suited your purpose to obfuscate about what was really happening.

btw, movements in an ascending triangle, often break to the upside, as it did here.

Dishonest by choice????. That's INSULTING. Because someone doesn't agree with a majority in no means dishonesty. I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

The disagreement relates to the actions that are being suggested, the cause, where the blame lies and how much faith that someone has in ex-spurts that have been so wrong in the past.

Some of the problem is that the young treat oldtimers as old farts and place little value on their knowledge and experience.
