Incidentally, if you do the same for the RSS TLT dataset the trend from 1979-2015 is actually much higher than the trend from 1979-1997. Not that I put much stock in that - see my post above about confidence intervals and the need for trend segments to connect at their endpoints - but it really does make all the “pause” talk extra laughable.
