There is so much vitriol in this thread!!! Back off and deal with FACTS, and REASONING based on the facts.
The following is a reasoned, dispassionate, and authoritative evaluation of the resources needed to get towards net zero and replacing fossil fuels. Yes, some assumptions are required in this analysis, but in practically every case they are conservative ... this elephant in the room will not soon be going away, and burning of fossil fuels (and not being Net Zero) will be here for quite a while beyond 2050.... If the past 28 years is any guide, there is no way the next 28 will get the globe to Net Zero.
