It's interesting that the solution is being suggested as " reflective and whiter materials for the pavements and roof". I wonder if this would then auto-generate Albedo deniars who question the science behind it? Undoubtably it would.

They appear to mosty be discussing it in the context of being used to offset greenhouse emisions "...they also found a long-term cooling effect that equals to a CO2 reduction of 25–150 Gt of CO2 through increasing urban albedo by 0.1 in temperate and tropical areas". Therfor suggests the authors see it as part of the solution as opposed to a primary contrbuter to the problem.
