Hey, Golfzoner, our paths may have crossed in Meekathara about that time. When in Meeka, I used to drink/stay in the Meekathara Hotel, that was later burnt down...wasnt me, lol.
Was way up north of there, at the Ethill Creek turnoff, in '63 when Kennedy was shot.

Hey, ever take your "stayer" to the Wittenoom Races?
Spent a lot of years there...Some made good money at those races....hey, even in the late '50's, the horses had done Roebourne, Marble Bar, etc before the Wittenoom Races, so everyone knew their performance by Wittenoom...

Was great country, mate, and great people, like to see it again before I die.
