The leader for P2P RV rentals in Europe seems to be Yescapa...

The leader for P2P RV rentals in Europe seems to be Yescapa (private company), founded in 2012, by Benoit Panel and Adrien Pinson.

Some figures :
- 12,500 vehicles on the platform,
- 185,835 rental days in 2020 (last known figure) vs an estimated rental days of 186,500 in FY 21 for Camplify
- 55 employees in Jan 21 (vs 63 employees for Camplify in June 21)
- in France, Germany, UK, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Switzerland.
- n.2 in Germany since 2021 after the acquisition of Share A Camper* (German business only),
- they reached BE in 2019 and turned profitable in 2020 (+ 21 % for revenues).
They increased their margin in 2020 as they had to spend less on advertising for customer acquisitions (more customers came by themselves on the platform, following covid). So, interesting to see that on a similar number of rental days, Camplify is not yet profitable.

Yescapa seems rather well managed. They focus on "profitable growth".
According to the figures I could find, they have just raised 3.6 m Euros since their creation.
I don't know their financial situation now, but it is interesting to note that they have been able to do 3 acquisitions : 1 in France, 1 in Spain and 1 in Germany.

Like Camplify, they try to do partnerships with B2C renters. Yescapa brings business to B2C rental companies, in countries where Yescapa has no platform. Yescapa also appreciates this partnership as it helps them to learn faster about new countries.

Pricing on Yescapa :
- commission of 15 % to be paid by the RV owner,
- commission of 4 % to be paid by the renter.
Total commission looks comparable to Camplify.
Main differences :
- on Camplify, it is the hirer who pays a commission of 15 %,
- the insurance for the onwner is included in his commission of 5 % if he takes the premium membership (between 76 and 198 $ per year depending in the value of the RV).
