Interesting update on Outdoorsy (posted June 1, 2003, from their website) :

. first time visitors represented 76 % of their 2023 bookings (very similar to Camplify figures),

. Outdoorsy is going to launch Outdoorsy Stays Marketplace for outdoor accomodation : cabins, A-Frames, tiny-homes and yurts,

. during the last 3 years, millenials represented 43 % of the guests and 52 % of the hosts.

. customers take longer trips from 5.8 days in 2022 to around 7 days in 2023 (Camplify average booking duration : 10.6 days during H1 23),

. "average cost of an Outdoorsy trip increased by 11 % between 2021 and 2023 or a jump of 100 USD for a 6 days trip".
By deduction, we can estimate that a 6 days trip costs on average 1,000 USD or 167 USD per day (around 250 AUD/ day).
Interesting to compare with Camplify which global GTV per book day was 172 AUD (31 % cheaper).
Perhaps, we need to be cautious regarding this comparison, given that THL was indicating, in its last presentation, that the large part of the US market was done with larger campervans than in Australia.
