Samarco. BHP & VALE say, While a gradual recovery in prices is expected over the remainder of the decade as a better supply and-demand balance is achieved, companies in the industry are being compelled to adapt to new commercial dynamics.
Samarco sells iron ore pellets and fines to 19 countries in markets such as the Americas, the Middle East, Asia and Europe.
Samarco sends its iron ore by slurry pipe lines to port 396km away.
Surplus concentrates are sold as pellet plant and sinter feed.
Production in 2014 was 25.075 Mt of the iron ore pellets and fines, up 15.4% from the previous year.
Gross revenue for 2014 was R$7,601.3 million, in other words R$7.601.3 Billion. Net income of R$2.805.5 million.
Price (FOB) Export of iron ore - 2014. Sinter Feed at US$75 tonne, Premium Pellets US$123 tonne. Gross Margin was 58%.
Cost of products sold US$53.42 in 2014. Operating expenses were R$958.9 million in 2014. or 12.7% of net revenue.
Samarco is the Worlds second biggest producer of pellets.
I believe SDL will be looking to export at least 30 Mtpa.
