Waste plastic is a growing problem in Australia and elsewhere in the world. Many plastics are uneconomic to process using conventional physical recycling technology. IGES has developed technology that converts waste contaminated plastic to the feedstock for remanufacturing plastic. This project aims to extend the IGES technology to become the next generation of processing technology that specifically targets the generation of naphtha from mixed and contaminated, post-consumer waste plastic as an optimised feedstock for the virgin plastics manufacturing industry. Successful deployment of this technology will place Australian expertise at the centre of the global industry that manages waste plastic.Start / End Date
