That was my initial concern too...sub-standard grade of metal used in the valves (and possibly elsewhere), is a worry, especially if they are going to be replaced with the same stock.

You've only got to look at how long this kit has been in the water, and straight away you can see 2 to 3 maintenance shut-downs per yr (2 wks per?), just on this.

Funny you should mention 3rd world countries...perhaps that's where the fittings were manufactured...I've had cause to question the integrity of some Chinese manufactured metals on many occassions!
