Some good news out today as indicated in this news item:
"DJ Pike River Coal: Second Hard Coking Coal Export Shipment Slated For August
WELLINGTON (Dow Jones)--New Zealand coal miner Pike River Coal Ltd. (PRC.NZ) said Thursday good progress had been made developing hydro-mining infrastructure and it was expected to be on track to begin mid September 2010.
The company added it was preparing for a second shipment in August. The 20,000-metric-ton hard coking coal shipment is one month behind schedule.
It added it had taken steps to improve the mine's ability to achieve the current year's production target of approximately 620,000 tons of saleable coal by
contracting additional mining equipment and hiring more staff.
Pike River is partly owned by India's Saurashtra World Holding Pte. Ltd., Gujarat
NRE Ltd. and New Zealand Oil & Gas Ltd. (NZO.NZ)."
So good news that things are progressing
