MBs reasoning was that they wanted to be the first to build with OMSR so that they were in control of the technology, he didnt want someone else to license it, f* it up with either cost over runs or incorrect implementation which could render the technology worthless.

The best thing LNG has going for it is fixed price construction contract, there are so many other projects in recent history that have had massive cost blow outs that have destroyed any chance of being a low cost facility.
