I just started investing here today and still have a lot of research in front of me, so i cant contribute anything valuable to ADO right now. (but hopefully so in the future)
But, as i am German i do know Merck !
They are listed in our DAX, which is the equivalent of your ASX 20.
The DAX is an index which holds the 30 most expensive German stocks (by marketcap) with some very famous names like Mercedes-Benz (=Daimler),Deutsche Bank,VW and Siemens included. Merck is on the low end of the DAX, but nevertheless a very very BIG company !
So, this deal for ADO is indeed a major step forward.
I have to do some more DD here before i really know what i am talking about,but the first glance was encouraging:
