You may well be right. ALP look like getting in and they are more likely to put tight emission targets in place than the Libs.
I'm fairly certain there will be no more new coal fired power stations built in NSW. Gas reserves are dwindling in the Cooper basin and it is expensive to bring gas down from QLD. ESG/MEL the logical beneficiaries as nuclear is not being considered for base load power and wind energy can only do so much given unreliability.
