Out of interest and in the absence of company updates I decided to take a closer look at the RXL company leadership team. As per the company website the 4 key people are as follows:

    dlnNKUN4GUrhQPDrCFvOp_yom5GaMSZ-IFP4HqBw-qyq0NqL0g9oSXG_xoSRvO_SuxR8AtNmYRM5WtT3mrbbBR6sFwyHZSZKLOubIqd_d460vZJL9SMZr8eOhAe4HEvM7nChNVUw

There is a brief overview of their backgrounds on the Company Website which most of you will have reviewed. Looking further though I have sourced another layer of information from a website “Marketscreener dot com”. Just to be clear I cannot vouch for the currency and content of this website but encourage anyone interested to take a look.

Basically the Non Executive Chairman Mr Stephen Bruce has Law and Business qualifications plus considerable Senior management experience which is a good platform for the role. As seen below he is also Chairman of a number of other companies which I would have thought must consume a considerable amount of his time? Most probably OK given that he is a Non Executive member of the Board. He also holds a considerable interest in the company so he also has skin to the game.

Alex Passmore being the CEO + MD + Exec Director has a big role in the company as is to be expected. He has a Science degree with Honours in Geology and Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance from the Securities Institute of Australia. He has management experience in a number of mining businesses with the bulk of his experience as Director-Natural Resources & Institutional Banking at Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Head of Research at Patersons Securities Ltd. Not sure as to his extent of hands on Geology experience which would be important at this stage of the companies development. Given that John Mair is on the Board these responsibilities would be shared to some extent although as he is an Independent Non Executive Director he would be more advisory I would have thought - most probably a good question to raise? Alex also has interests in some other companies although these appear minor in nature and should not impact his key
management responsibilities at RXL. Alex also holds a considerable interest in the company which is also very important.

will continue as Company Secretary and CFO. So he is now part of the management team and no longer part of the Board. He is also CFO and company secretary for Azure Minerals Ltd and Iconic Rare Earths Ltd. He also holds a considerable interest in the company.

John Mair Non-Executive Director, appointed October 2019. Dr Mair is an economic geologist with extensive international experience across technical, managerial and corporate fields. He holds a PhD in economic geology (UWA) and held the position of post-doctoral research fellow at the Mineral Deposit Research Unit, UBC, Canada. His role is important in that he adds to the geology credentials of the company. He is also the MD and Executive Director of Greenland Minerals Ltd a Rare Earth exploration company which would be an important and time consuming role.

    For the record Economic geology
is the scientific discipline concerned with the distribution of mineral deposits, the economic considerations involved in their recovery, and an assessment of the reserves available. Economic geology deals with metal ores, fossil fuels (e.g.,petroleum, natural gas, and coal), and other materials of commercial value, such as salt, gypsum, and building stone. It applies the principles and methods of various other fields of the geologic sciences, most notably geophysics, structural geology, and stratigraphy (qq.v.). Its chief objective is to guide the exploration for mineral resources and help determine which deposits are economically worthwhile to mine. Specialists in economic geology often assist in the extraction of the mineral commodities as well. As per Encyclopaedia Britannica

So in essence this capability and role in the company would be valuable in delineating where the drill bit should be aimed to achieve the best prospect of success.

    Some thoughts to ponder.
