Yes - the "green" report has a lot of contradictions in it - but no surprise when written by someone who thinks coal is a dirty word.
Interesting part is that the extra cost of transport (shipping) of coal from Vic rather than Indo is circa $4 per tonne extra.
Forgetting the cost to get the coal from source to port in Vic, if a BCE tech can be cheaper to produce than digging, crushing and washing black coal (which we believe it can be), then it's possible that this extra $4 will be a relatively insignificant amount in the whole scheme of things making BCE from Vic a potentially favourable and affordable supply.
Just an observation.
