Linc Energy is an interesting topic ... but the real questions which need to be explored are about the political decisions made a few years ago [by the Queensland Labor Government] which favored CSG [coal seam gas] at the expense of UCG [underground coal gasification].

Fair enough that a lot of big international names poured billions into CSG .... but that should not have meant that UCG got squashed the way it did [and it continues to be unfairly treated i.e ASX:CNX].... especially since CSG is clearly an environmental disaster slowly unfolding and UCG [done properly] is the superior process [20X more energy extracted from the coal, minimal surface disruption, minimal risk to the water table, etc.]. It does look like political favors went to the CSG operators ... it should be investigated and exposed.
