Hopefully this might go some way to debunking the myth still held by some that technical analysis is only a 'short term trading tool'
Technical analysis is used for timing...long, medium OR short term.
As you should hopefully be able to see (I've forgotten how to upload charts!), the time to purchase gold is when it retraces to the 150 period simple moving average as it has now done 7 times since the start of 2009. No hocus pocus, just simple analysis.
