Just a clarification to the last para of my answer to your question:

Maybe thats the difference between Beck and Gretel, I dont know. Certainly 3D would be useful to determine that."
What I was referring to there was that the direction of fault lines, natural fracturing and other features in the source rock will be a consideration when companies choose the directional orientation of a well's lateral, and they have to balance that with the need to make the lateral as long as possible and fit within the selected well spacing.
