some number crunching

    Bearing in mind I am putting these numbers out for debate, frankly I'm way out of my depth with this kind of calculation and also pissed watching the T20, so what's new:

    200m strike x 250m x60m = 3,000,000
    @2.5%SG=7.5Mt Cu
    @3%SG=9Mt Cu

    This would be way better than the original 2.5-6Mt the Russians estimated... However, I understand GTE have drilled at an angle rather than perpendicular to strike - I don't know why, is it because of their belief they are scratching the surface of a felsic periphery, again, this is outside my sphere of normal understanding, has anyone here got enough geo expertise to fully explain the mystery? OSR had some comments earlier - please feel free to enlighten me... Does this method hope to discover some hint outside strike, is that the idea?

    So let's say true width is half this... 3.25-4.5Mt or worse case it's a third, so 2.5-3Mt - definitely still a small, but mineable number, as good or better than the soviet low case.

    And this all the stuff you can get to and monetise quickly, never mind if it all sits on top of some old copper spewing volcano at depth a la Escondida ...
