Globally, sending remittances costs an average of 7.37 percent of the amount sent. (world bank data... see more at https://remittanceprices.worldbank.org/en )
But this is the cost to the consumer. The telco would be willing to pay someone like DCC far more than this as they are essentially being helped get to the huge golden goose of unbanked funds. There is a much bigger prize here than just providing the consumer with a tool for remittance in my opinion....
