In a world with food shortages, it is the companies producing staple foods which will benefit. People in need of food go for bread and beans and eggs and stuff, they don't say "Hmmm, I might go get myself some sashimi grade hiramasa kingfish". A company like CSS wants (along with the ability to actually reliably produce fish without them getting sick or dying) a strong global economy where people are spoiled for choice of food and luxury food becomes more attractive.
