You are correct. Things did not work out as expected. A lot of people have been burnt and at the moment are too blinded by fear, frustration and anger to realise that Elk is now undervalued based on just the Chemical Flooding potential alone.

Now that you've made your point, let's move on. What are your personal thoughts on the future of Elk. Are you still as negative as ever or do you see light at the end of the tunnel.

As I mentioned earlier, Chemical Flooding technology has improved significantly and recovery rates have improved substantially in the last 20 years with the use of high performance chemicals. Surtek appears to be the leader in Chemical Flooding and have designed chemical flooding projects all over the world since 1978. Based on their experience, it would appear that they know what they are talking about if they say that Grieve is an 'Excellent' candidate for chemical flooding based on fluid studies performed to date.

Hopefully with well researched contributions from everyone, the Elk thread can return to being a source of information instead of a place for venting ones anger and frustration.
