That's how I read it too. Conventional oil production is falling at 5% per annum and you need a lot of unconventional energy to fill that void. Especially when energy demand is expected to increase.
The energy value disparity between the price of oil and gas will narrow. I have no problem with $8 plus for gas. The other factor to take into account is the turmoil in the Middle East. Who would have thought that Qatar and Gazprom are now looking at Australian shale. What is the world coming to?
