    • for a laugh, because they can
    • a bet
    • maybe, just maybe, a political conspiracy by the far right to disrupt and confuse the issue of first Aussies and the Voice
    • people with Aboriginal heritage who have previously rejected their Aboriginality returning for the above reasons
    • other reasons for returning to their roots such as family pressures, offspring who want to recognise their heritage etc

    lots of other reasons too im sure.

    will the Voice address racism? is an excellent question to ponder. Me? I don't know but so far, at least on HC, it has resulted in an increase in racism being expressed.

    I detest the word and implications of "racism" --- we are all one race, homo sapiens, with a bit of Neanderthal and maybe Denisovans if we have historical roots in northern or Eastern Europe. only skin tone and culture makes any difference. and these are no reason to discriminate.
