From the Financial Times report:
+++A takeover of Pacific Hydro, which had revenues of A$62m and profits of A$32m in the 12 months to June would enable the US utility American Electric Power to sell its 16 per cent stake+++
What sort of company in a capital intensive, mature industry makes net margins on revenue greater than 50%?
A simple question.
And why does AEP want out? After all, isn't it one of the largest coal fire generators in the world, desperately in need of carbon credits? They must be crazy, quitting when things are looking so good.
Lost of basic questions with this one.
