I remember buying QBE on 12th of sept 2001 for $4.95, and selling in 2008 for around $26. The next 9~10 years haven't been much to cheer about.
But now, now, is just like after sept 11. The best time to buy is after the poo has hit the fan. Big catastrophes x underpricing = global premiums rising in the next few years. Add in rising bond yields and QBE is a sound (not shoot the lights out) bet to beat the market over the next few years
