I found their business models are quite different.
1)While Engin provides a whitelable wholesale service, it is primarily geared to service the mass retail market. Fre primarily provides a wholesale whitelabel service.
2)Eng has a 2 way calling service equivelent to the normal telephone. Fre provides an outgoing service only. (customers can dial out, but not receive calls), again catering for a specific market rather than the whole.
3) Eng customer gets a real rehulatory complient telephone number. Fre customers get a private numbering scheme.
Both imo have advantages but cater to different markets, the eng customer can dial 000, they can receive calls, full pstn equivelent phone service. Fre customers can get a very cheap service for limited functionality.
I think there's a place for both to do well because imo with eng, Betty from Adelaide can call Aunty Gemma in Narrabri, sit on the couch and chat away, and vice versa... if she needs emergency assistance, she can dial 000. Tommy doesn't like being disturbed with pesky phone calls from telemarketers, so he opts fo the fre outgoing service only, yet should he have the need for 2 way service, he has the option.
