Nice reel and rod combo you have. I have similar. 7ft. with braid and okuma epix. 8lb fluoro leader.
Got a 80 cm lizard in narrebeen lake on a smelly old pillie last week. Let the old girl go.
Caught a 60 dusky on a pilchard stick bait with the second cast. Used to catch kingies and dollies on these.
Now we are really off target.
Spoke to a Fish scientist and he said a big flattie is probably 25 years old.
Sorry to all you non-fishos, but what else is there to talk about ?
