Hi Mapreader, the truth & perversion of the matter is that there is probable more chance of getting Government support for a conventional gas fired generator than CFU getting anything under the CEFU. The reasons are is in the words you extracted from the CEFU Act and that the role of the bureaucrat who make the decisions is not to assess technologies, or make meaningful decisions about net carbon dioxide reduction or the overall good of the environment. Their role is to interpret words and unfortunately the words in question don’t include a combination of an enabling technology with a non-renewable energy resource.
Once the utilities of the world start pumping into the gas grid the renewal resource generated from piggeries and sewerage treatment farms then we might be in with a chance. As a rough outside chance we could probably get a Government grant to teach children about the benefits of greenhouse gas reduction.
