Lets distil this down to just the ethereal "CETO" technology then..

CETO 5, which was three 240kW wave capturing bouys had "14,000 operational hours" and generated 12 megawatt hours of energy. 12 megawatt hours is worth $1,200 to sell at $100 per megawatt hour. How completely useless is that?

They will use "machine learning" will they? That is just total BS designed to distract from the fact that the actual wave capturing and conversion machinery is a total failure! No amount of machine learning can help something that incredibly bad! I mean, after 10+ years of researching this idea of capturing wave energy and converting it to dc-electricity, it is clear Carengie really got no where.

They are not starting from a position of strength and they are clearly not world leaders in this space. If they are they can damn well publish something that proves it but what the publish is the 'global potential' (for something that could work) and they cite other proven and commercial technologies as their example. Well whoopie - I am a human and Usain Bolt regularly runs 100M in under 10 seconds, ergo I can do it too right?!

There is simply no evidence they have a technology or system that is anywhere near being 'commercial' and "machine learning" is a total red herring.

12 megawatt hours after 14,000 operational (their word!) hours in the water. So the system averaged less than 1 watt (yes ONE WATT) per hour. Not even enough to power an LED!
