Ah now it can be told !
Just released today comes a report from Premier Oil .....its Interim Management Statement 19th November.
And there are a few little titbits of information such as:
(1) (one of the Highlights items) :- 3D acquired on Block 07/03 in Vietnam, rig due on location for second well, Cá Rong Vang, later this week, following on from successful Cá Rong Do discovery in June.
(2) Vietnam
Following the successful Cá Rong Do discovery in June 2009 and subsequent acquisition of 3D seismic data over the eastern side of the block, the second Premier-operated well on Block 07/03 is due to spud imminently. The well is targeting a 30-50-100 mmboe prospect named Cá Rong Vang. The Cá Rong Vang prospect is located approximately 6km northwest of the Cá Rong Do discovery. A further well is planned on this block for mid-2010.
So we now have confirmation that the Hakuryu 5 is not actually "drilling" yet but it should arrive on location later this week.
Also their estimate of the size of the reservoir for this second well (Ca Rong Vang) ranges from 30 mmbo through to 100 mmbo. So presumably similar in possible size to the first well (Ca Rong Do).
So it may possibly be spudding by the middle of next week.
Which could mean TD could be reached about mid December or close to Christmas.
