Any US president with half a brain and a real concern for the welfare of his people could have fixed the problem months ago. It is still not too late. Just ban the import of oil into the USA. Force the domestic market to utilise the domestic product. For decades the US has banned the export of oil. Now its time for the reciprocal of that policy. Now that would be easy peasy.
