When I moved from Technical Services, in the mining industry, into production management, many years ago, one of my first and most valuable lessons was that "there are plenty of reasons, but never any excuses" for lack of production ... production of the "bags of concentrates" pays the bills!!!!
The trouble with CNQ management is that there is no accountability ... the MD blames the Chairman for not giving him the money and the Chairman blames the market .... if a "production man" performed this way he would never work again!
