    AGO does have appeal, close to port etc, but in the long run it will be the big operations that really win. Aus may get some of the transport cost disparity, but also in the long run actual shipping costs are likely to drop back hugely imo. Regardless China has no timber, and with earthquakes needs lots of steel with it's concrete. Even in developed countries you see continuing intrusion of steel in construction where once you'd have seen brick, timber and/or concrete.

    But nickel has a parrallel growth path, and can't be in everything. Can't really industrialise in the modern sense without high nickel content steels. I prefer established but expanding producers, and in nickel that is easy, in iron many only at the starting blocks. Hard to access quality imo. Also feel it may be getting to the taxi driver stage in iron, hence not for the poorly researched such as myself.
