sting1, it's just the auction, people bid down and up to get the best crossover point/earliest trade in at the best price. Happens to any liquid stock at EOD, people selling for 10c on auction know they're going to get more as people bidding for 12 or 13c know they're going to pay less, all comes down to the market depth and settlement price depending on volumes at each price at EOD. It's a slightly complex system how it works but you can look that up on the ASX site. Explains it quite well.
