The resourse boom is over.

Doesn't someone always ring the bell when the market is at its peak?

After the bell was rung materials index dropped about 30%.
At the time Anvil was supposed to be "closer to $1.20".
Stopped at $1.095.
Then retracting to less than $1.00.
But fairly stable in the higher 90's (cents).

The "always something factor"?

Now the forecast is for a halving of copper price in about 5 years.
Still a good outcome - if that was to be.

Copper price to be lower due to ramping up of production.
Not decline in demand.

By this time Anvil will have trebled copper production.
Contained processing costs with the SXEW plants, etc.
Mining rich open cut ore.
A world ranked low cost producer.

Present share price is looking good.
Should climb even with decline in price of copper.

Then there will be dividends.
Time for Bill to factor this in.

As indicated in some previous posts production plans may become less significant if/when more large (huge?)resource deposits are proven.

Difficult to gauge the impact this might have on share price.
Institutions are mainly looking at bottom line profits when valuing Anvil for share price.
Present profits.
Not future profits.

Smart!
Forecasting future price of copper - hence profits - is not a simple exercise.
And it is not likely to be positive.

There is also the soverign risk - discount factor.

Should the Congo elections go well?
They are certainly progressing in a surprisingly positive manner.
There are huge interests in the Congo now.
Incentives for world power players to ensure a positive political outcome.

If all goes well the Congo will most likely become the success story of the mining world.

Difficult to anticipate Anvil's standing in all this.
It will be good.
Will be positive for share price.

Interesting times ahead!
