I don't hold much but I literally missed the bus when I first contemplated buying GPT @ 20c or something similar (if I now r'ber correctly)....by the time I could muster up some spare cash, it had gone up to 40c and my average buy is around 50c....
so sitting on some small profit now and getting regular dividends, so happy overall...the REITs have a long way to go, most of the action so far has been knee-jerk reactions from managements and investors...time for some calm and sustained growth in the next 2-3 years as confidence rolls back in and debt no longer remains a bad four letter word anymore (we do forget our past easily, right?)....
A lot of M&A activities predicted down the road in the REIT sector and that will definitely give the long term sufferers a window to escape (lightly, if not with a huge loss)...
