I wouldn't worry too much about your password/account being compromised Tell, people don't need to know your details to send as you (its a very trust based system (newer email gmail/hotmail etc does require auth)). Some spam bot somewhere knows your email address and is sending AS that to their spam list, they'll give up and move onto another address in a few days.
