as far as i understand it there is no exclusivity contract with 3M but if they want an extention then they should request a retainer ? as far as i understand it this is to give 3M a liscense to market the patch in a geographic region, if someone else, one of the other suiters comes up with a deal then OBJ is free to do so !!

any deal done may have an exclusivity clause in it but that is not what OBJ wants as stated by the company so it would have to be a wowser of a deal for them to consider it ;)
