Hi Guys,

Do you think the present Russian aggression against Ukraine is having any bearing on the market sentiment towards oil projects in the other former Soviet states with large Russian-speaking populations and key Russian assets, eg. Kazakhstan the Baikonur Cosmodrome, nuclear weapons testing ranges, etc.?

If so, is this a serious and immediate concern, or is the situation in Kazakhstan incomparable to that of Ukraine over the past year, being a stable autocracy and well away form the frontier with the West?

I too have been watching the steady accumulation at 40c over the past couple of months and thinking that it might well be time to buy in again for the end-game, but I find it very hard to assess the true level of Sovereign risk in JPR, or the range of possible adverse outcomes (including the possibility that there may be a low-priced fait-accompli takeover by one of the current major shareholders, who might then take the final exit profit entirely for themselves).

Any well-informed thoughts much appreciated.
