As for the competition, specifically CLH, I invite you (and others) to have a look at some of the ratio's that are of relevance to companies within this field.
The following ratio's will tell the story:
Collections/amortisation ratio and
Carrying value of PDL assets and
PDL turnover ratio
Hint: we have all seen what can happen when debt collectors get a bit too eager with prices paid and low amortisation rates....
After todays presentation I went to my model and updated the relevant figures and then spent a few minutes thinking about this business, management commentary and the future outlook. My prognosis - still undervalued, still conservatively and efficiently managed...back to sleep for me.
