The Isis field in Tunisia was bought by Paris based Coparex from America based Samedan in 1996. Coparex started Isis development in about 2002, but were swallowed by Swedish based Lundin before they could finish it.
The Isis concession partner, Atlantis, was a subsidiary of Norwegian based Petroleum Geo Services, who sold Atlantis to Sinochem (Chinese) in 2003.
Isis was a marginal field, only flowed at around 5K bopd + some gas, and was shut in permanently in 2006 due to falling flow rates and increasing water cut. FPSO was moved to one of Lundin's other Tunisian fields that they acquired through Coparex from Samedan.
You can research all that on the net, but you won't turn up anything on the involvement in the Isis field by a subsidiary of the Norwegian Tjome Group, which we are led to believe is Viking.
Google "Norwegian Tjome Group" keeps turning up hotels and tourist stuff in Tjome Norway, no matter how you word it or what oilfield references you throw in.
Like I posted elsewhere, Offshore Production Solutions and the Thome Group are transparent on the web...not so Viking or the Norwegian Tjome Group.
Would appreciate anybody else's effort who can show us a link to Viking and/or the Tjome Group related to anything...except the NDO and KIK announcements!
