The games begin again...
OPEC production cuts bumping prices. US government have a very limited SPR supply now to keep prices lower. Economic weakness may reduce demand, and higher oil prices risks inflation popping back up.
The dynamics are very interesting in what is a power struggle between US and other players. US were silly for not sticking to their commitment of topping up the SPR at $67 like they said they would.
