yeh the contractor having a stake in the business rather than the unions/(mafia or whatever theyre called in aus?) sucking it dry is a good thing. theres a cooperation rather than conflict of interest. he will know how to run the place, and can keep the good workers and sack the lazy ones. (done) id love to know what the rough cost reduction is now after the restructuring.
i also read there was another more profitable section of the mine, a new area to be mined, and they just have to survive until then (hence cost cutting measures, loans)wonder when that is starting.
