All I am talking about is the possibilities of takeovers on the cheap. Not who buy the shares.
Now consider if someone was to make a move on us now. What do you think the offer price will be ??? If that was the case, how many investors will be looking at a loss ???

There are three companies in my portfolios that are doing the exact thing that you mentioned. One of them at least has even listed in Canada. And the result is, that the shares aren't worth anything extra than what they were before. If anything they went down instead.
As you wrote in your last paragragh though, and that I fully agree with, "certainty" is what is needed. For, what we are experiencing now is far from it.
But then again, if we are to look at the USA and Canadian market, what we are doing, and what is allowed here in Australia with the trading of shares, is only child's play. I used to play in that game, and I got severely burnt.
