i get the feeling something is happening with this stock, MD in China for no apparent reason and Myopic (who has been spot on with the info so far) suggesting that Merrill Lynch bankers were with the MD.

The only things i can think of why the MD would have Merrill's bankers with him is because they are helping with some sort of deal.

I few weeks back AXO stopped rumors about the Chinese buying a big chunk and now the MD is in China with Merrill's bankers? I recon they are brokering some sort of deal. At that time AXO said nothing had been signed but confirmed talks had and were taking place.

It could also be that Merrill's are helping with the equity or debt raisings or both. either way just look at the effect Merrill's had on AGO, a company now valued at around $1b and one rumored to be having a serious look at AXO (probably because it has $70m in cash and a market cap of less than $200m and with 460mt of JORC resource).

We are on the verge of something big for AXO. I guess we are going to have to be patient (something i am not good at) for the next few weeks to see exactly what is going on.
