Step 3 (below) indicates that the Assessment Report only needs to go to the ‘Australian Minister for the Environment’ … ‘if the NTEPA undertook the assessment on behalf of the Australian Government’ ?

Given the turmoil in Canberra at the moment it would be very nice if we could bypass step 3 and go straight from step 2 to step 4

Especially if there’s any chance that Australia may have a change of government within months, then getting that Mining Licence ASAP before there is a ‘left’ field anti-mining movement. Although TNG is all about ‘green’ mining.
