Especially if there’s any chance that Australia may have a change of government within months, then getting that Mining Licence ASAP before there is a ‘left’ field anti-mining movement. Although TNG is all about ‘green’ mining.

I checked this through by reference to the two applicable statutes back in April before the supplement got bounced. I'll review my notes when home in c 3hrs but as I recall the steps are as set out NTEPA recommendation referred to Minister who signs off or refuses. Minister not bound by statutory time frame except that must deliver reasons for decision within specified time. 35 days from announcement is 22 December if delivered to NTEPA on 9 November.
