I agree that it is debatable whether the cores are price sensitive information, but when you see that many newly drilled cores lined up and it's information that is only available to those on twitter, not blocked, IMO questions should be asked on this matter, simple as that.
As for the companies response, they were asked to respond to 2 specific tweets that have since been deleted. There are copies of these tweets floating around twitter and have been posted here until being removed by mods.
The photos clearly showed the cores are referenced with codes that indicate they are from this year and have not been assayed yet.
The company has responded saying that the tweets show cores from holes last year that have been assayed and reported.
So the company has mislead the ASX in its response and provided an obviously incorrect answer to a very specific question.
Is this OK? Are holders OK with this conduct? Is this more than a mistake?
How can the company have got it so wrong on a question so specifically simple? IMO a likely answer is ML probably deleted the tweets when he was asked about them by the company and claimed what he had tweeted was what the company has said in its response. Who knows though, it is a basic stuff up at best that will draw unwanted attention to the company (but any publicity is good publicity lol). Maybe it will lead to something more.
I really don't think this will blow over any time soon, just what is going on with ML, his promotion and the company? I think it will all be looked into in much greater detail after this for sure.
